Unbiased 'dangling false carrot' with new features - advisers

Advisers are concerned the new features introduced by Unbiased over the past year are not working to generate quality business leads but to increase consumer traffic through the site instead.

In the past year, Unbiased introduced two new features to its service: ‘location-plus' whereby advisers can be linked to particular postcodes and, more recently, the ‘response rating', scoring advisers based on their speed to accept or decline enquiries. The features were introduced to better expose advisers to the right clients but advisers have been sceptical as to whether the additions have benefitted them or Unbiased as a business.
