New platform comparison site positioned as adviser due-diligence tool

The founder of Comparetheplatform.com has called on financial advisers to be 'as active as possible' in the development of the new platform comparison service.

Fundscape chief executive Bella Caridade-Ferreira, who also revealed plans to create a ‘sandbox' testing environment on the site, said that while the offering was still in the development stage, it was designed to be used by advisers "as a tool to validate their platform recommendations". Recognising advisers would already have deals with platforms, she said one of the aims of the site was that platform providers would eventually feel comfortable enough with it to allow such deals to be incorporated as another layer of comparison.
