Columbia Threadneedle's EMEA CEO Fleming departs for Aberdeen

Joins Aberdeen as global head of distribution

Columbia Threadneedle's chief executive officer for EMEA and global chief operating officer Campbell Fleming has left the firm to join Aberdeen Asset Management as global head of distribution.

Fleming (pictured) has resigned from his role at Columbia Threadneedle after six years, having joined in 2009.  He will be responsible for Aberdeen's global distribution platform encompassing 450 people across business development, product specialists, marketing and client service, and will also work closely with the senior management of all of the firm's investment capabilities. In this new role he succeeds John Brett, after he stepped down last year. He will report to Aberdeen's chief executive Martin Gilbert and will join the company's group management board.
