Jelf Group acquired by insurance giant in £258m deal

Listed advice business Jelf Group has been bought out by insurance firm Marsh in a £258m deal.

The advice group confirmed late on 10 August that a deal had been reached which will see broker Marsh acquire the entire share capital of Jelf. Shareholders will receive 215p in cash for each Jelf share. Jelf has 37 offices across the UK and provides advice to more than 100,000 businesses and individuals on insurance, healthcare, employee benefits and financial planning. The companies said there was a good cultural fit between their operations.
