IFA Centre's Gill Cardy joins Defaqto

Financial products research firm Defaqto has hired former IFA and founder of trade body the IFA Centre Gill Cardy as an insight consultant in its wealth and protection team.

In her new role Cardy (pictured) will develop business opportunities and manage consultancy projects in the retirement income and platforms space. Cardy worked as an IFA for more than 10 years before setting up the IFA Centre, a trade body representing independent advisers. She also acted as the IFA representative on the FSA Smaller Business Practitioner Panel and held senior roles at ValidPath.
