IFP board director reveals charges for simplified advice business

A simplified advice proposition its founder says is exhaustive enough to eliminate the need for face-to-face communication will charge clients about 1%.

Wealth Horizon, the brainchild of former Ashcourt Rowan Financial Planning CEO Chris Williams, launched on 26 August. The Parmenion-powered proposition, described as an online advised investment management service, offers to build portfolios for investors with assets in the range of £10,000 to £150,000 and manage them on an ongoing basis. Advice will be delivered online and over-the-phone by CF30 registered advisers. There is no face-to-face element because it is that, Williams said, that drives up the cost of advice.
