Bill Mott to retire at end of 2014

Miton Group UK equity income manager Bill Mott is to retire from fund management at the end of the year.

Mott, manager of the PSigma Income fund with Gervais Williams and Moore, will hand over his role of lead manager of that fund to Eric Moore. That will bring to an end a 37-year career in the industry, which included a 30-year spell at Credit Suisse. Hargreaves Lansdown has removed the Income fund from its Wealth 150 list in response to Mott’s forthcoming departure. Its figures show Mott returned 846% since he began running funds in 1986, compared with a 403% return for the FTSE All Share.
