Ex-Origen boss Gareth Marr retires after three decades in advice

Industry stalwart Gareth Marr - one time chief executive of national IFA firm Origen - is leaving advice after a 30 year career due to ill health.

Marr first entered the IFA market in 1984 with the founding of his firm Marr & Bradley. As well as heading up Origen, he has also been chief executive of IFA businesses Moores Marr Bradley and Advisory and Brokerage Services. He founded his last business, The Red House Consulting, in 2007 with long-term colleague Ruth Sturkey, who now becomes managing director with Marr taking on the role of non-executive director.
