Cameron: Labour pledge to raise corporation tax is 'nuts'

The Prime Minister David Cameron has described Labour leader Ed Miliband's pledge to increase corporation tax should his party win the next election as "nuts".

Cameron said Miliband's entire approach was "anti-business" and would risk British jobs by driving trade abroad. Miliband announced at the Labour Party conference in Brighton last week that he would reverse a corporation tax cut from 21% to 20% due to take effect in April 2015. An incoming Labour government would then use the £1bn saved over two years to reduce business rates on properties and commercial premises with an annual rental value of £50,000 or less.
