Research: most advisers will be 100% 'adviser charging' within a year

The majority of advisers plan to move all their clients to an adviser charging model within the next 12 months, according to research by Skandia.

Interviews with 557 advisers indicated that 62% intend to move all their clients to an adviser charging model within a year. This will require them to contact all clients and move those that are still paying trail commission away from that model. The survey suggested that three-quarters of advisers will be operating on an adviser charging basis alone by mid-2015, with a further 16% saying they intend to move all clients to adviser charging within two years.
