Legal & General has become the latest provider to report a marked increase in the number of transfer requests to suspected pension liberation schemes.
The provider said it had witnessed a noticeable rise in the number of transfer requests to schemes it regards as high risk since the start of the year. Legal & General pensions strategy director Adrian Boulding said: "We are seeing similar numbers of transfer requests to suspected pension liberation schemes as other providers. So far we have blocked or delayed around 300 suspicious transfer requests.
