Advisers have to stop criticising each other to better build the image of the profession and increase consumer confidence, Keith Richards has said.
In an exclusive interview with IFAonline, the Personal Finance Society’s (PFS’s) new chief executive said the profession collectively does not “instill confidences from external audiences looking in” and it was “time to draw a line in the sand”. He said it is essential advisers and firms stop criticising each other on instinct and instead join together in a united voice to better promote the industry and keep the regulator at bay.
