Tenet rolls out social media policy for its advisers

Adviser support group Tenet is introducing guidelines for its advisers using social media sites to provide them - and the group's compliance managers - with "complete peace of mind".

From next month, the company will unveil a cross-platform social media policy to its appointed representative and directly authorised practitioners, removing the need, it said, for approval on non-promotional content. Tenet said it wanted to avoid a blanket ban on utilising social media as it appreciates its value. It follows the group's own corporate entry into the arena earlier this year on Facebook, Linked-In, Twitter, Vimeo and YouTube.
