Private client adviser charged with murder of Mayfair socialite

A private client adviser at wealth firm HFM Columbus Asset Management has been charged with the murder of a wealthy socialite, according to reports.

David Jeffs, 36, from Nottingham, has been charged with the murder of Roberto Charles Troyan, 63, who was found collapsed with head injuries at his London home. Troyan died on 8 March at his flat in Mount Street, Mayfair, central London, the Evening Standard reports. Jeffs was scheduled to appear at Croydon Magistrates' Court yesterday, the Metropolitan Police said. Police believe Troyan was attacked at some point before 4pm on the day he died, and are continuing to appeal for witnesses to come forward.
