Skandia: advisers split on RDR impact

Advisers are equally split on whether the Retail Distribution Review (RDR) will have a beneficial impact on the industry, according to Skandia.

A survey of 491 advisers found just over 40% thought RDR would have a positive impact, with the same amount thinking it would have a negative impace. Some 8.6% thought it would have a "very positive impact", with 8.4% believing it would have no impact at all. Platform marketing manager Mike Barrett said it was "only natural" that advisers were currently split on RDR. "We are still only a couple of months into one of the biggest changes the industry has ever seen, so it is bound to take time for businesses to adapt and evolve," he said.
