PFS: chartered financial planners hit 3,500

The number of chartered financial planners has exceeded the 3,500 mark for the first time, latest figures from the the Personal Finance Society (PFS) reveal.

The total number of chartered financial planners reached 3,505 on 28 February 2013. With just over 34,000 members, this also means that more than 10% of PFS members now hold the chartered title. In June last year the PFS announced that the chartered title for individual financial planners had reached 3,000, suggesting a strong latter part of 2012 and early part of 2013 as financial planners look past the minimum QCF level 4.
