Advisers must send FSA standards data by January

Advice firms must send the Financial Services Authority (FSA) data on all of their advisers' professional standards by the 29 January 2013.

The FSA notified advisers it would be collecting the data in its policy statement on professionalism published last January. It will include details of each adviser's qualifications and accredited body. The first submission will be information on professional standards reached by the firm's advisers' up to 31 December 2012. In an update on its website the FSA said advisers it will be accepting submissions from 7 January 2013, and the last date for submitting the first return is 29 January 2013.
