Barnett Waddingham launches online SSAS tool

Barnett Waddingham has launched a free online tool for members and their advisers worried about compliance with SSAS rules.

The provider claimed around 5,000 SSAS schemes have lost their professional trustee and could be at risk of incorrect administration. Barnett Waddingham has said the tool should be used ahead of SSAS annual returns, filed on 31 January 2013, to avoid tax penalties. The multiple choice questionnaire identifies key areas that might indicate whether a SSAS is being run correctly or is in need of attention.
