Friends Life has appointed David Hynam as chief executive of the life company's UK operations.
The position is a newly created role, and Hynam will report directly to Andy Briggs, group chief executive officer of Friends Life Group. In a statement, Friends Life said: "David has considerable operational management expertise including IT and operations and he will lead the UK division in supporting its profitable growth ambitions." Hynam will be responsible for the company's three go-to-market business units in the UK- protection, corporate benefits and retirement income.
