Pension planning remains biggest advice driver

Pension planning is still the most common reason for seeking financial advice, with 32% of enquiries in July focusing specifically on retirement, figures from Unbiased have showed.

Statistics from the Advice Drivers report investment and savings was the second most popular trigger, with 23% of searches. Chief executive Karen Barrett said having enough money in retirement was something everyone looks forward to. "Yet many of us now need to think about putting away enough of our income to ensure this and to prepare for longer life expectancy. In order to preserve our current standard of living, we need to make sure we have the right pension plans in place.
