Wraps outgrowing supermarkets in platform league table

Wraps are beating fund supermarkets in attracting new business despite Cofunds' jump to the top of the platform league tables, according to latest figures.

Data from Fundscape's quarterly platform report saw Cofunds jump ahead of Skandia, with growth of 4% boosting assets under administration to £40.7bn. It also topped the gross and net sales charts for the 13th consecutive quarter. But the most interesting trend was growth among wraps, said director Bella Caridade-Ferreira. "The transition to a fee-based model is driving adviser firms to wraps' doors," she said. "As a result, the wrap cohort is outperforming traditional fund platforms in growth terms."
