PICA requests adviser help for pension directory

The Pensions Income Choice Association (PICA) is today issuing a request for information to develop a directory of financial intermediaries.

The directory will provide investors with a single site where they can select criteria to generate a list of retirement advisers, annuity brokers and providers. Tom McPhail, chairman of PICA said: "It is imperative investors have a single site they can go to that will give them quick and simple access to people who can help them find the right retirement income solution." PICA has said this service will complement the Association of British Insurer's (ABI) code of conduct, which was designed to encourage consumers to shop around for retirement income.
