Porter to exit F&C

Charlie Porter is to step back from his role at the helm of F&C Investments, Investment Week understands.

Porter, the co-founder of Thames River who has been at F&C since it took over his firm, is understood to be leaving shortly. A spokesman for F&C declined to comment. Porter, who is chief executive officer at Thames River Capital after founding the firm following his exit from Baring Asset Management, became head of F&C Investments' fund and investment trust business following the acquisition.
