Former GSAM MD joins Alliance Trust

Alliance Trust has appointed former Goldman Sachs Asset Management (GSAM) equities chief Susan Noble as a non-executive director of the company.

Nobel is currently a non-exec director of British Empire Securities and General Trust and former managing director GSAM. At GSAM she managed  European team responsible for more than $17bn of asset and established the firm's global equities desk in her role as head of global equities. Chairman Karin Forseke  said: "Susan will draw on a wealth of experience and I am confident she will prove invaluable to the group." She added further board appointments would be announced shortly.
