HSBC has "postponed indefinitely" plans to move its headquarters from London to Hong Kong, its chief executive said.
Speaking to a group of shareholders, Stuart Gulliver said the bank was not in a position to make a decision about leaving, reports The Telegraph. Gulliver had been a vocal critic of the government's Bank Levy and a number of regulatory proposals suggested by the Independent Commission on Banking. But he said this week: "Although we talked at one point about reviewing [the location of the HQ], it has been postponed indefinitely.
