Daredevil adviser scales Everest

A financial adviser has scaled Mount Everest - in the same weekend three other climbers died after reaching the summit of the Himalayan peak.

Mark Dickson, previously managing director of Blue Sky Asset Management and Incapital Europe, reached the summit of Everest on Saturday, fulfilling a life-long ambition. Prior to his Everest climb, Dickson and his fellow climbers trained in Nepal for three weeks, before arriving at the North Base Camp in Tibet on 16 April. His triumph follows a previous attempt to scale Everest in 2008 which ended unsuccessfully owing to a chest infection.
