F&C retail flows back in black in Q1

F&C Asset Management(F&C) reported positive inflows of £13m into its retail range in the first three months of the year, after the group saw outflows of £122m in Q4, 2011.

However, outflows from other parts of the business including strategic partners and institutional channels contributed to a total net outflow of £1.715bn for the quarter. The group's investment trust business reported zero net flows over the period. There was more postive news in terms of F&C's AUM which increased £1.7bn to £101.8bn at 31 March 2012, driven by higher equity and fixed income market levels and net inflows into the retail range.
