An inquiry into the future of long term care and how best to prepare people for its cost has been launched by a group of MPs and peers.
The All Party Local Government Group, one of the largest in Parliament, will review how local councils can help people prepare to be financially independent in old age. It said the investigation would enable the group to thoroughly respond to the government's wide-ranging Social Care White Paper.
