Financial planner named in top five US jobs

Being a financial planner has been named one of the top five jobs in the US, according to a study based on government statistics.

In the Best and Worst Jobs of 2012, a list compiled by CareerCast, the profession came below only software engineer, actuary, human resources manager and dental hygienist. The rankings were based on the physical demands, work environment, income, stress, and hiring outlook and used data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics and other government agencies. Among the professions below financial planner were mathematician (10), astronomer (43), accountant (47), judge (62), stockbroker (77) and attorney (87).
