Guardian WM sets up client 'panel'

Guardian Wealth Management is to put some of its long-standing clients on a new panel which will meet regularly to discuss the future strategy of the group.

The ten-person panel, which will meet for the first time this month, will comprise two clients, managers from partner firms including accountants and lawyers, and some of the firm's advisers. Financial planning director Niraj Viyas said the company wants to give clients a say in the future of the business. "The traditional model for an IFA firm would be to start with a strategy and take this to the client once it has been decided upon. "But this doesn't put the client at the heart of the business.
