Towry judge on Fisher: Abrasive, self-confident, confrontational

A judge has branded Towry CEO Andrew Fisher as "unnecessarily argumentative" and criticised his abrasive and confrontational style.

Towry yesterday lost a High Court case after claiming seven former Edward Jones advisers, who later joined Raymond James, had unlawfully solicited its clients. In her full judgement, The Honourable Mrs Justice Cox described elements of Fisher's evidence in cross-examination as "unnecessarily argumentative" and said he was "inconsistent" when describing the extent of differences between the Towry and Edward Jones propositions. Referring to a presentation given by Fisher in Bath to Edward Jones advisers, she said "its content and abrasive style" was "unlikely to win hearts and minds". ...
