Andrew Strange exits AIFA

Andrew Strange is to step down as policy director of the Association of Independent Financial Advisers (AIFA) after nearly five years at the organisation.

Strange will leave his roles at AIFA and the Association of Mortage Intermediaries and the AFB, in October to pursue "other business interests". AIFA said it has begun the process to appoint a replacement. Stephen Gay, director general of AIFA, said: "On behalf of all our members, Council and Boards, I would like to take this opportunity to thank him for his valuable contribution to our work and the development of the intermediary profession.
