Clarkson Hill deal boosts Merchant profits by £1.38m

Merchant House Group today revealed it made a £1.69m pre-tax profit in the year to December 2010.

The Group attributed £1.38m of its profit to its acquisition of the Clarkson Hill Group last December. This follows a loss in 2009 of £0.9m for AIM-listed Merchant. The firm said it has collected £2,147,595 of pipeline and trail income from Clarkson Hill and expects another £850,000 to come. Merchant House estimated the trail or renewal income from Clarkson Hill business will be £2m per year.
