Barings launches EM multi-asset fund for Stanion

Barings has added an emerging markets multi-asset fund to its range for head of the multi-asset team Percival Stanion.

The fund will aim to achieve equity-like returns with lower volatility by investing in equities, bonds, currencies, commodities derivatives, money market instruments and cash across emerging markets. However, the managers are also able to allocate away from EMs, to developed market bonds for example, in order to control risk and protect capital in falling markets. Stanion, who also runs the £3.4bn Dynamic Asset Allocation fund, will co-manage the fund with Toby Nangle. The Dublin-domiciled fund will carry an initial charge of up to 5% and AMC of 1.5%.
