ETFS Physical Silver leads 'best value' product list

Online advisory outfit ETF Channel has published its latest list of the best value US-domiciled ETFs, earmarking ETFS Physical Silver Shares as the top product.

The website examines a universe of more than 800 US-domiciled ETFs, choosing a fund to represent each of 12 categories on the basis of their trailing twelve months (TTM) gain and total expense ratio. Of the 12 winners, ETF Securities' silver fund comes out on top with a TTM return of over 161% and an expense ratio of just 0.30%. This translates as an outperformance of 228% against the metals ETF grouping, which averages out at a 49% TTM return. Other differentials were less pronounced.
