SWIP hires Archie Struthers to head up investment solutions

Scottish Widows Investment Partnership (SWIP) has appointed ex-BlackRock COO Archie Struthers as director of investment solutions.

Struthers will have overall responsibility for the growth and development of SWIP's investment solutions business. He will oversee investment solutions for the distribution network of SWIP's parent company, Lloyds Banking Group, in addition to its portfolio of third party business. Struthers was most recently global chief operating officer of Multi-Asset Client Solutions at BlackRock. Prior to this he was managing director and portfolio manager for Portable Alpha Strategies at Merrill Lynch.
