SCM Private launches ETF portfolios on Ascentric

Active manager SCM Private has brought its ETF portfolios onto independent platform Ascentric, making them available to IFAs and retail investors.

The firm says its active model portfolios have outperformed 85% of comparable funds, while the use of ETFs provides a significant reduction in costs, which can be up to 53% less than in traditional funds. The models newly available on Ascentric are trading at 0.75%, plus VAT, reducing down to 0.50% for investments above £10m, with SCM waiving their performance fees via the platform. Buying on Ascentric also allows clients to buy into SCM's portfolios at a level below the firm's direct minimum investment requirements, and to hold investments in their own name.
