Cofunds raps D2C partner for targeting clients

Cofunds has told a direct to consumer partner service to remove "aggressive" marketing literature which attempted to lure clients away from the platform with the promise of full commission rebates.

Commfreefunds.com, an online non-advisory service partnered with Cofunds, has been targeting the platform's advised clients and urging them to "free themselves of commission" by changing agency and signing up to its service.  Until recently, its website featured material actively luring Cofunds' customers to ditch their advisers and switch to its execution-only online service with the offer of "100% ongoing commission rebates" on existing ISAs and investments.
