Close appoints Brewin Dolphin's Lavin head of financial planning

Close Asset Management has appointed Beverley Lavin head of financial planning as the firm looks to grow its wealth management business in the run up to the RDR.

Beverley, previously national head of financial planning at Brewin Dolphin, will report to Steven Mendel, head of UK wealth management. She will initially be based in the firm's new Bristol office. "Beverley's appointment to our financial planning unit is indicative of Close's aspiration to become a leader in the wealth management business," says Mendel. "Her massive industry knowledge and experience will help to improve the depth and breadth of advice that we offer."
