The US Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards (CFPBS) says it took away Cynthia Murphy's right to use the CFP designation in August after she was deported to Moscow on the charges. Murphy - real name Lydia Guryev - was investigated for spying by the CFPBS, which alleged in a complaint she had pleaded guilty to a count of conspiracy and misrepresented herself as a US citizen.
