Platform Awards raises £14k for Help for Heroes

The UK Platform Awards (UKPA) last week raised over £14,000 for the Help for Heroes charity, which cares for injured army personnel from the conflict in Afghanistan.

Guests at the awards, sponsored by Aberdeen Asset Management, contributed a staggering £4,700 to charity, including a pledge from one platform CEO of £500. With promises to match the guests' contributions by the organisers and by Aberdeen Asset Management, a total of £14,100 will be handed to Robin Hollington, the father of Richard Hollington, the 300th soldier killed in Afghanistan.
