The IMF thinks the British economy is on the right path and has backed the coalition government's spending cuts and plans to tackle the deficit. It also believes inflation will fall to target figures by early 2012. Incoming BP chief executive Bob Dudley has suggested the company may resume dividend payments in the New Year. In an interview with the BBC, he said the board would discuss the issue over the coming months, with a view to restoring dividends in Q1 2011. Wall Street has had its most successful September in over 70 years, with the Dow Jones closing 7.72% higher for the month....
