ETF daily value traded on LSE up 57%

The average daily trading value of ETFs and other exchange-traded products on the London Stock Exchange (LSE) has increased 57% year-on-year, to reach £362m.

The LSE says the average number of trades has also increased by 34% in this time period, to 4,390. The exchange has 279 ETFs and 307 other exchange-traded products, including exchange-traded commodities (ETC), from 14 issuers. In July, nine new ETFs and 11 ETCs were admitted to the LSE for trading, consisting of products from Deutsche Bank, HSBC and Market Access. The LSE also has a total of 20 registered market makers, to ensure continuous, electronically-executable liquidity for ETFs and other similar products.
