AIFA director general application deadline 12 July

Hopefuls seeking to fill Chris Cummings' shoes as director general of the Association of IFAs (AIFA) have until 12 July to apply.

The successful applicant will also have overall responsibility for the Association of Mortgage Intermediaries (AMI) and the Association of Finance Brokers (AFB). An appointments committee, chaired by John Gummer Lord Deben, has been formed with representatives from AIFA, AMI and AFB Boards, to choose a successor to Cummings. Appointed as director general in June 2005,  Cummings will leave the organisation in August to become CEO of the City of London's new promotional body.
