Collins Stewart head of fund sales Brown quits

Collins Stewart's head of fund sales Michael Brown has left the firm to become a financial adviser.

Brown joined in July 2008 from Investec Asset Management as the firm embarked on an expansion plan which included growing assets through acquisition. Prior to Investec, Brown worked for Scottish Mutual International, Sun Life (IoM) and Clerical Medical International. His is now planning to becoming an IFA and already holds a Financial Planning Certificate (FPC). Brown says: "Although I am disappointed to be leaving, I am very proud of what we have achieved over the last two years." A spokesperson for Collins Stewart said a replacement would be announced in due course.
