Court orders £32m payout in GP Noble case

The High Court has ordered £32m to be repaid in the GP Noble fraud case.

However, this is still £20m short of the total amount missing which was £52m from nine pension schemes in 2007 and 2008. Law firm Taylor Wessing said nine affected schemes are now under the control of Independent Trustee Service which was put in place by The Pensions Regulator after it suspended GP Noble in 2008. After the fraud allegation emerged and the regulator intervened, ITS began a tracing process and legal action to recover the missing millions.
