First 'public' representative joins IFP Board

The Institute of Financial Planning (IFP) has appointed Rory Curran, formerly of 1st Software, as the first "public" representative of its Board.

It says Curran's appointment will make its 10-strong Board of CFP professionals more representative. "It is crucial the IFP has a broad representation within its Board structure to challenge the executive and to ensure balance between the governance of the profession and our own strategic direction," says IFP chief executive Nick Cann.
