British expat votes in Spain fear a dent in the pound whichever party takes Government after polling today, a survey suggests.

A clear majority of 80% of Spanish expats plan to vote, with 46% choosing the Conservatives, according to foreign exchange specialists Currencies Direct. Labour and the Liberal Democrats are neck and neck for the remaining votes, with each on 20%, the survey suggests. But even though their allegiance is clear, 65% of Spanish expats believe their vote will still lead to Britain having a hung parliament, and 41% think the Election result will dent the value of the pound regardless of who wins.
