The majority of clients transfer out of with-profits funds following reviews, say advisers.

A survey carried out by Skandia polling over 600 advisers, half said the majority of clients transferred out of with-profits funds following a review - suggesting the policies are no longer suitable for many investors. The findings suggest a significant proportion of the estimated £400bn held in with-profits funds are set to transfer out over the next few years. Furthermore, the survey indicates advisers are making good progress in reviewing clients policies, carrying out suitability reviews for three-quarters of clients invested in with-profits.
