Corporate bonds top FundsNetwork sales for 2009

The Corporate Bonds sector stormed to first place in the FundsNetwork sales chart for 2009 - but failed to make the top ten list of performers.

Global Emerging Markets was out in front in performance terms, up nearly 60% over the period, with Asia Pacific Ex Japan and UK Smaller Companies in second and third place. However, risk-averse investors were reluctant to leave their safe havens with none of these sectors making the best seller list over the last year. After UK Corporate Bond, which took 16% of advised sales, the next best seller was Cautious Managed (12%) with UK All Companies (9%) in third place.
